We are British and have lived here in Cannes since 2004. We both had high profile and demanding roles in PLC's in London but decided to bite the bullet and take early retirement - carpe diem, we never put off to tomorrow what we can do today.
We have a lovely family and great friends who visit often to enjoy the villa and surroundings and share our dream. The villa is perfect for a large group, it's very spacious, with the fab pool and gardens to relax in. All six bedrooms are at least double sized with lovely comfy beds and all with air-conditioning.
This is a wonderful corner of the earth and we were so lucky to find Mas le Verger, which is in one the best locations on the Riviera. We have fun times with our children and grandchildren all staying here together. We love the Cannes area but it's not just this classy seaside town we love, there are plenty of other towns, villages and mountain resorts within easy reach and therefore loads for all to do and see. Be it Cannes, Antibes, Juan Les Pins, Nice St. Tropez, or Monaco or even the inland villages such as Mougins, Valbonne, Fayence, there is always lots to see and do. Italy is only 1-1.5 hours away and we love day trips to Ventimiglia and San Remo. We retired early to come live here but we are able to keep very busy with the various activities and beautiful places to visit right on our doorstep. Come and enjoy it too - you will love it!
